Colin's Story

2010-08-05 07:53:32 by razac13

Hey, everyone. I'm the friend 01glitch01 mentioned in his seventh post about Colin and Will's story. I will be writing Colin's story, at least for a while. His idea of the voting at the end will be continued in my posts. In case you happened to have been recommended here by a friend or simply made a wrong turn, before you get started, read the seven previous installments of this story written by 01glitch01. There is a link to his page at the end of this story. Without further ado, let's begin. my link to his story will be in the first comment.

Colin turned around and was looking into the face of a man who looked frustrated. The man, tall and muscular, stood up and yelled at the men on the shore. In a booming voice, he said, "I thought you said we'd be getting a ranger? This just some scared kid!" Colin looked around the boat for any other people, but they were nowhere to be found. From behind the angry man, a calm voice spoke:"Give the guy a break. You know we're short on members right now." Colin, feeling that he had the support of whoever was behind the man, said, "Thanks." In response, a woman's head shot out sideways from behind the man, laughed, and said, "I was talking about the man on shore, kid."
Colin winced and looked for a seat. The partially hidden woman said, "Well, we're going to be on a boat for quite a while. We might as well get used to each other. I'm Aurora, and this is James. Our captain and team leader is the guy in the water right now. His name's Hal." Colin, noticing the look on James' face, decided not to lean over the edge of the ship, and asked, "So, if we're a team, then why did the guy on shore stab me with a knife? I'm still bleeding!" A voiced sounded from the water behind the boat, "Oh, sorry about that. I told the guard to press the knife onto the back of your neck, but he doesn't have the best hand-eye coordination", the voice said sarcastically. Colin decided that at least two of the crew members were trying to be friendly, but for all he knew, it could be a charade, and decided not to tell anyone anything about him. Suddenly, the boat shifted its weight and threw Colin to the deck. James and Aurora laughed, and Aurora grinned when Colin looked up at her. Colin said in surprise, "what the devil is going on?" She grinned harder, and said in a sarcastic voice, "what, you haven't been on a ship when it's launching?"

Should Colin:
a) argue back and defend himself
b) keep quiet
c) try to find a way to escape
